7Proud Muslimah8Beautiful Islam6 asked:

Can you please tell me where I can find some very good crochet patterns? I have loved doing this since I was a ******* and I like to make things to give to those less fortunate. During the summer, I crochet blankets to donate to the Salvation Army forthe homeless because winters here are brutal, and I’m sort of sick of this double crochet stitch I’ve been using. I’m ready to advance to patterns and such, so any ideas from sincere people would be appreciated. Thank you.

Get on to Google and type “free crochet patterns”. They are endless, and I have found some really beautiful ones. Celt’s vintage crochet, Crochet & Craft Link Index, Smart crochet, Crochet treasures etc.etc. As an avid crocheter, I have so many patterns now, I need another lifetime to do them all. Good Luck!

A few that I have found to be my favorites when I started crocheting
    – their Spring issue just came out (keep scrolling down to get to the patterns)

Those are just a few that I have in my bookmarks. If I come across more I’ll edit my answer.

I would go to your local library.

about.com has all sorts of crafts, and lots of crochet.
