blanket parties are to show that your bunk mates are not happy with you and all the extra work you get them.
it to show you that you need to pick up the pace an learn more and get with the program.
but normally now in the military they drop you back in class to try to catch you up on what your not learning, and or put you in special classes to help you learn.
blanket parties are not as common as when I was in, i would think mainly not at all any more.
