s asked:

I have a 7 month old and really don’t know what she should be doing? She is sitting by herself, army crawling for the last month, feeding herself puffs and cheerios, plays with toys, although she seems to be getting bored with them, smiles, laughs, squeals, babbles mama, reaches for me when I say up and seems like a typical baby. However, I was reading some online articles on baby milestones and they said that she should enjoy imitating my ****** expressions like sticking out her tongue, but she hasn’t done this since she was a newborn. Is that something they grow out of or should she be doing it regularly? Also, one of the articles said that she should play patty cake and peek a boo. She will take off a small blanket if I put it over her face and say peek a boo, but she doesn’t do it herself, nor does she put her hands up to play patty cake. It seems kind of early for that but I guess I don’t know. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

my husband’s best friend LOVES Star Wars,
and his wife is pregnant with their first child together (a baby boy)

We’d like to get him some unique Star Wars baby gifts
(total spending limit, a $200-300)

I’ve been searching online for a couple weeks
and I’ve found dozens of hilarious and adorable Star Wars onesies:
“I’m the first of a clone army”
“Storm Pooper”
“My midi chlorian count is off the charts”
“Chewie is my co-pilot”
“I get my jedi powers from my daddy” Etc..

But I was wondering where I might find other Star Wars baby items…?
I was hoping to find Star Wars plush toys that would be baby safe?
and maybe a Star Wars baby blanket?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello!
I’m in the process of kinda “pimping out” my umbrella stroller in anticipation of a long trip overseas-
mostly functional however I still want it to look nice.
I’ve made my own stroller bag to hang on the back, made out of my husband’s old military uniforms.
Now I’d like to make a blanket cover for the stroller. I’m thinking the blanket should have little pockets within arms reach of my son so he can have his toys and sippy cup right there when he needs them. My only problem is choosing a material for the blanket.

My stroller is green, and my bag is pixelated camo (if you know what the current US Army uniforms look like, the bag is made from those materials).
I want to make the blanket out of fleece (so it won’t be able to match the bag, unfortunately), and I want the blanket to be boyish.

If you were me would you go with a solid color (such as black, blue, or green)?
Or would you go with a patterned material (such as green camo which would be similar but not match the bag or a sporty pattern, with like footballs on it)?
Any opinions greatly appreciated!

Rachel S asked:

My 8 month old daugher has become more active lately. She has been army crawling all over the floor. She recently has discovered where all our cords and wires are for the computer and tvs are. I have no way to “hide the cords”. In my effort to keep her out of the cords, I set up a baby gate in our dining room. I put all her toys and blankets in there. That’s the only thing in there. I will sit her in there to play. As soon as I set the baby gate up she begins crying. I only sit about 15 feet from her in the other room. She can see me clearly. I talk to her and sing to her, but nothing quiets her down. The only way she is happy is if she has free roam of the our family room. I can’t let her because she gets into the cords. I’ve started implementing “no” but she just laughs at me. When I let her loose in the family room she doesn’t cry and will play fine by herself.
I need help. What can I do to calm her down so she will play by herself and know that mommy is close.

Rebecca asked:

Ok first I love her a lot because I’ve known her (and her wonderful son) since I was 13. I’m staying with her because he’s away at his duty station (he’s in the Army) and I feel less nervous at her house then living at home. I really love to hold my baby and will often just keep him in a harness as I go about my daily activities. Anyway she says I should put him on a blanket and only hold him when he’s fussing or needs to be fed, otherwise let him play when he isn’t sleeping. I prefer to hold him actually and he allows me to exercise too because his weight helps keep my muscles toned. I’m surprised she wants the baby to be “independent” because her own son was a “momma’s boy” with a mother who had an 8:30 PM bedtime rule on school nights for her own son when he was 15. That didn’t stop me from developing a “crush” on him that never went away. She’s really a nice person but I just want to hold my baby.
