danny asked:

One night I had a dream
I was in a boat floatin down a stream
The sun was beamin and the water flowin
I looked up but I was surprised
To see a violent sun
And a storm in the distance
So I tried to take a stance
But I was chained
So I looked to my right
And the sight I seen wasn’t from this earth
A see through man kinda there but not at the same time
Two people cought in chains at each side of him rowing this boat
I could see their bodys but their faces were a blur
One of them screamed trap 3 times
And got swallowed by water and fire
She was replaced straight away
Then the day turned dark
So I looked up and there was no stars no moon
Just flawless darkness and then I felt sadness take over
I asked the middle man what was his name
And all I heard was a whisper
Yea you quested it
He said Lucifer
Then I woke seen no stars or moon
Sweating and nearly crying
I pulled the curtain and the moon was shinning
Then the frantic panic went and peace took over
But since that night something got me possessed
Now im obsessed trying to do right
Tryin to resurrect peace equality prosperity and bring it to reality
Trying to delete sadness and copy and paste happyness
So I ask you to try a feed at least one hungry stomach
Set one seed of love
Give one blanket to the cold
And hold onto your morals
Give one pillow to a tried head
Pray for your dead
But please I beg you wake up or kill me caus my heart cant take it
I would prefer if my concerts were silent and you all listened
I didn’t sell my soul nothing man made can own my soul
Because god walks with my soul
So when I hear an angry growl
I don’t growl back I try to change their perspective
Trying to kill greed because without greed maybe more people would have what they need
My dad set a seed now im just trying to succeed
I just don’t want to be part of a deceived army
So im hoping I received a strong will power
Strong enough to knock a pyramid
Strong enough to throw a lyrical punch and give a black eye
Please don’t let this poison affect my horizon
This strange earth is crying out for change
Will some one please ask rihanna for directions outa distrubia
But I wonder did she find a way out or is she still there

Adam Chambers *poet for God* asked:

[Title] The Soul Will Not Be Globalized

The soul will not be globalized
It shall not bear the cursed mark of the beast
Nor shall it be found falling down upon its knees
The draft board will not have me fighting
When any open wound is biting
It shall not bleed in sacrifice
For said revived Empire, the vice
Of Satan’s grasp upon this Earth

The soul will not be globalized
It shall not trade its burdens to
Another form of peace, untrue
It shall not be preyed upon
By predators with flaming rods
Or smoking guns that fail to catch
Their enemies that freely hatch
A new generation of the righteous

The soul will not be globalized
You will not find it acting tree hugger
You cannot make it a verbal mugger
No, it will not deny the facts
While covering them up with lies and false pacts
With unsuspecting fools and wimps
It will not act like flip-flop pimps
Sleeping with the plagued seductress

The soul will not be globalized
It will not claim the sky is falling
When their comfort zone is balling
Comfort, while as ******* voices dry
Silencing the truth that never dies
It will not forsake its moral brothers
Or its broken hearted others
In order to build up its own success

The soul will not be globalized
No papered manly worth shall buy its freedom
No fruit of bitter sugar fats its sore bum
It won’t be salivating with its mindly wheel
Over fallen stars with rusted sex-appeal
It will not rough it out to bulge with fleshy pride
Nor will it purge itself to light the fire that died
In a demon possessed with its own luxuria

The soul will not be globalized
It will not join hands in marriage with the devil
It will not submit to the world wide global evil
It will not be a militiaman to march in time with death
It will not bow before idle statues with no breath
It will not continue tarrying here in sin and transgression
It will not drown upon a stormy sea of materialistic obsession
It will not crumble beneath the weight of ten thousand stones

The soul shall rise above the world
It shall choose life over death, not Satan, but the Father
While those who don’t repent shall be left dead in the water
It shall lift its eyes from the cloud and smoke of depression
It shall raise its voice up and speak out against its oppression
Yes, the soul shall taste the flavour of His righteous blood
Washing o’er its skin and cleansing heart in a flood
No more shall it wallow in the pigpen of felony

The soul shall rise above the world
Take staff in one hand, good book in the other
With the knowledge of divine grace and mercy to its brothers
Young and old, rich and poor, black and white, cross the world
And go out into the scorching deserts, lonely islands and arctic cold
It shall teach of love and peace and joy to all people
It shall clothe the naked, feed the hungry, with food and clothes so real
They will be at loss of words to describe an unimaginable miracle

The soul shall rise above the world
Be a shining light example for the children of heaven
Be a crutch for the crippled, eat of bread unleavened
It will walk with no fear of the shadow of death
Cloaking all the valley which he breathed its first breath
With a smile, not a tear, it shall know in its heart
That the covenant of God shall never break apart
Cause His promise is carved in the inerasable stone

The soul shall rise above the world
Rise above the darkness
Rise above transgression
Break the ties that bind it
Break the chains that keep it
Crush the rock that traps it
Crush the thoughts that try to stop it
From flying upon Easterlies

Easterlies that calm it
Drinking water that cools it
Wearing blankets that reheat it
When the climate changes harshly
Gaze with wide open eyes
Praise with hands reached to the sky
The redeemer is alive and is here for you today
And forever and ever, can we hear an amen

The Saviour is our Hero that tells us what is true
Oprah Winfrey, Doctor Phil, Jerry Springer cannot play us
Like instruments of deception and bringers of falsehood
Just as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern misjudged Hamlet
When he had a destiny to try and accomplish

The soul shall rise above the world
And down on bended knee, it shall confess
That yes, it is worthless without truth, love and hope

The soul shall rise and come back to the world
In the end times that come on the hooves of four horses
One of sickness, one of war, one of death, one of hunger
That rise above us to try and conquer our united army
Our military holds no guns, tanks or bombs
Our military is conducted like sweet music of divinity
By our commander, Lord Jesus who shall make us strong
And in the end, all souls shall rise above the world

Then fall and crush the devil down into the Earth
Lock him up in the fortress of fire and brimstone
And all will come together on Earth to say as one voice
That we are victorious over death, hell and grave
Cause it’s Jesus Christ, our Lord who has eternally saved
(C) 2009 Adam Chambers

MTOF-In X-mas Mode asked:

Before you read this, please note, if you are easily distracted, this may be too long for you to focus on, lol:

THE WORKER AND THE VET

He drinks every drop,
To make the memories stop,
But all that is does,
is make them more strong.

He’s been too many times,
To that one place in time,
That place in the dark,
The place called Vietnam.

Now it is cold,
And the wind,
Knows no Mercy.

He sits on the corner,
As those all around him,
Start cussing and cursing.

“Look at that bum,
The clothes he wears,
The bottle he carries,
My, isn’t he scary?”

They all turn to laugh,
When all that he asks,
Is for a dollar to eat,
Something sweet,
Anything is a treat.

Soon they retreat,
Throwing garbage,
At his feet.

He lays in an alley,
Dreaming of Dear Sally,
The woman he loved,
Before he left for Vietnam.

She left him alone,
When he got called home,
She left him alone,
To marry Good Ole Joe.

He knew of the child,
That she had carried,
but, she never wanted,
Her to meet her real Daddy.

He clings to the bottle,
His only retreat,
When suddenly a stranger,
Asks him to his feet.

“Not another cop,
Those damn Government Jerks.”
The man thinks,
As he gathers his worth.

Soon he sees,
That it’s not the police,
But someone so sweet.

Caring and kind,
Her voice like an angel,
Is it that time already?

She wraps him in a blanket,
She takes his old shoes,
She gives him some hot chocolate,
To warm his cold toes.

He reads her tag,
Salvation Army,
And with a tear in his eye,
He asks her who is she?

“I’m just a woman,
One who knows,
That those in need,
Are deserving as me.

I see you there,
Laying in the street,
And thought that today,
Was my calling.

I gathered my things,
And put on my uniform,
But skipped the Salvation Army,
Because I felt you were more worthy.

I see you all the time.
Clinging to the bottle,
I thought to myself,
One day, that will be his last swallow.

So I took my cell phone,
And turned it into the boss,
Said I quit this job,
And I have no remorse.

I kept the uniform,
But only for a while,
I’ll take it back tomorrow,
To show him that it’s final.”

He listened to her words,
Of her family and friends,
Who took her for all her worth,
And that job was her last chance.

He took her hand,
said in voice high,

“My Child, Don’t quit,
For you have made me rich!
You showed me there are,
Others who care,
And now I know that,
There is a God up there.

He sent you to me,
And you did his deed,
Stay with the Salvation Army,
As there are others just as needy!”

She took to his words,
And on Christmas Day,
She went back to work,
To the place,
Where the homeless stay.

She felt so new,
So very alive,
That she never thought,
That the news would arrive.

She watched it on TV,
It was a very tearful scene,
For the man that she gave to,
Had met up with family.

His daughter had searched,
Many years and days,
For the one she knew,
Had always been
her real Daddy.

She went to work,
Walking through,
The very same alley.

She had seen,
That picture laying,
Of her mother, Sally.

The old man had dropped it,
Without even knowing,
And she picked it up,
The tears started flowing.

When she met the man,
She walked up to him,
And felt all the more rich.

They stared at each other,
And she said “It’s you,
You’re my Father!”

They held each other,
In only the warmest embrace,
He looked her over,
And saw it in her face.

She had his eyes,
Nose and chin,
It was his Daughter,
Mary Anne.

The story goes on,
But this is what,
I want you to know,
No matter who you are,
No matter where you go.
God is watching,
And he always knows.

When it is time,
He gives you the urge,
To help those needy,
So heed that call.

And remember this,
You might meet someone,
You’ll never forget.

Immortal. asked:

I’m studying a poem by Margaret Junkin Preston and it’s called ‘A Bivouac In The Snow’. It’s about the American Civil War (The War Between The States).

In the poem it makes a reference to a ‘Xerxian army’.
Here is the whole stanza.

Round the bright blaze gather,
Heed not sleet or cold;
Ye are Spartan soldiers,
Stout and brave and bold.
Never Xerxian amy
Yet subdued a foe
Who asked but a blanket
On a bed of snow.

Does anyone know what the ‘Xerxian army’ is in reference to? I can’t seem to find it anywhere..

Any help, even just ideas or thoughts would be good.
Thanks

Kate Alex Bahleef asked:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generous Tom~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom, a homeless guy found a squashed loaf in the supermarket bin and quickly popped it into his sack. Mick, the miserable, saw him do it and muscled his way towards him.
“ Hey! You ought to share your findins.”
“Righto,” Tom said, “Eight slices for you and eight for me, that’ll be fair don’t ya think?”
Mick hobbled away, the light began to fade as he found a comfortable spot in the chemist shop doorway. He rolled out his tatty, grey army blanket and brought out of the deep pocket in his old coat a full bottle of Tawney Port.
“Tom don’t need to know I’ve got you for company me old darling” and he munched some slices of bread taking a generous slug out of his bottle.
Tom made himself comfortable in the bus shelter, wrapping his old blanket tightly around him after devouring some of the bread that he had smeared with vegemite for flavour. The aroma drifted, because an old dog came sniffing around, but the food was safe under the blanket so he walked over toward Mike.
Tom drifted into a deep sleep and dreamt of happier times when he had lived in comfort with his wife and two children. The children had grown up and moved overseas, but his wife died- cancer eight years ago.
There was no home life, so bit by bit, he fell on hard times. He was rather shy and never asked for help, although he was always there for others, if they need anything. He could not manage his money and would give it away to unreliable folk who never bothered to pay him back. He was a soft touch.
Somehow, it turned out that when he became homeless, nobody wanted to know him. The name Generous Tom was the name they called him, but Tom didn’t know.
When Tom woke, his tummy was grumbling, so he wandered to the back of the fish shop, where in a bin, he found half a packet of cold chips and some flat lemon squash.
“My lucky day” and he pulled some thistles out of the footpath.
He went back to the bus shelter. It was still chilly
“My lucky day,” as he wandered back to his warm place only to find Mike sprawled on the bench snoring. The empty wine bottle was slowly rolling with the morning breeze into the gutter.
“Oh well, I had better wash and see what I can find.”
In the park, he washed his face and beard and combed his hair with an almost toothless comb.
With few coins in his pocket from can collecting the previous day, he went into the bus station. At the counter, he counted some coins for a cup of hot coffee. His watery blue eyes looked fondly at the hot pies. He did not have enough, so he picked up his coffee and walked slowly to a corner table.
He had just sat down when a boy came over.
“Did you forget your pie mister?”
I know Americans **** vegemite but it is definitely a concentrated Australian flavour. Recommend you rub it on bait when you fish
You had a surprise.
A picnic basket,
hot raspberry tea
A steaming pool
ferns waved greetings
as we shed clothes
slipped into a womb,
warm wet mosses
covered rocky thrones.
Purified, we sat,
forgot spoken language,
a doe walked by,
ignored us.
And snow started to fall…
As always, no thumbs down are from me. Mars feels much safer to me…
splurp asked:
A pantoum! How about that! A little less rigid than the typical pantoum…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantoum
Anyways…here it is:
Maryanne
Ten years had lived Maryanne:
A blushing lassie with flaxen braids and
checkered dress of strawberries and cream.
With yearning sapphire eyes.
The blushing lassie with flaxen braids
stumbled into a human crib.
Her glittering sapphire eyes yearned
a cradle, wrapped delicately in soft, furry blanket.
Her stumbling into a human crib
sealed my maternal covenant:
To embrace her in the softest blanket—human flesh—
away from stampeding, murdering boys.
Obeying my maternal covenant,
I wove her flaxen strands into gleaming tapestry.
Away emerged stampeding, murdering boys in
faint clanks of steel armor.
Her flaxen tapestry gleamed
until armies in shimmering silver scales set afoot.
The endless clamoring of steel armor
shamed Rapunzel’s golden tapestry to mousy drab.
Their shimmering silver scales
and razor scythes and wooden arms
humbled her royal tapestry with
a first cut—a jagged sliver of a worm’s hole.
The razor scythes and explosive wooden arms
glimmered in my view—like wet dew in morning sun.
A jagged hole of an uninvited mole shredded through a
Maryanne crouched behind a fortress layered with dust.
Like wet dew glimmered
salty streams flowing down a Maryanne
crouched behind the fortress,
stained with dust.
Salty seas drenched Maryanne
until shimmering armors faded dull as lead.
I found Maryanne, stained with dust,
mature, newly hardened with scars.
The lead armors faded duller.
The shredded dress of red and white
scars clothed Maryanne (barely), all hardened, dried.
Ten years.
**Please…intelligent criticisms/comments. I can tell who actually understands poetry and who doesn’t by reading one’s answers.
lilsisdanimomma asked:
The Worker and the Vet
He drinks every drop to make the memories stop
but all that is does is keep them strong.
He’s been too many times to that one place in time
The place we call Vietnam
he sits on the corner as those all around him
start laughing and making fun of him..
“look at that bum the clothes he wears
the bottle he carries my isn’t he scary?”
they all turn to laugh when all that he asks
is for a dollar to eat something sweet
anything is a treat.
soon they retreat throwing garbage at his feet.
*********
he lays in an alley dreaming of dear sally
the woman he loved before he left for Vietnam.
she left him alone when he got called home
she left him alone to marry good ole joe.
he knew of the child that she had carried
but she never wanted her to meet her real daddy.
he clings to the bottle his only retreat
when suddenly a stranger asks him to his feet.
“not another cop those damn government jerks.”
the man thinks as he gathers his worth.
soon he sees that it’s not the police but someone
so sweet.
caring and kind her voice like an angel
is it that time already?
she wraps him in a blanket she takes his old shoes
she gives him some hot chocolate to warm his cold toes.
he reads her tag salvation army and with a tear in his eye
he asks her who is she?
*********
“I’m just a woman one who knows
that those in need are deserving as me.
i see you there laying in the street
and thought that today was my calling.
i gathered my things and put on my uniform
but skipped the salvation army because i felt
you were more worthy.
i see you all the time clinging to the bottle
i thought to myself one day that will be his last swallow.
so i took my cell phone and turned it into the boss
said i quit this job and i have no remorse.
i kept the uniform but only for a while
I’ll take it back tomorrow to show him that it’s final.”
he listened to her words of her family and friends
who took her for all her worth and that job was her last chance.
*********
he took her hand said in voice high
“my child don’t quit for you have made me rich!
you showed me there are others who care
and now i know that there is a god up there.
he sent you to me and you did his deed
stay with the salvation army as there are others just as needy!”
she took to his words and on Christmas day
she went back to work to the place where
the homeless stay.
she felt so new so very alive
that she never thought that the news would arrive.
she watched it on tv it was a very tearful scene
for the man that she gave to had met up with family.
his daughter had searched many years and days
for the one she knew had always been her real daddy.
she went to work walking through the very same alley.
she had seen that picture laying of her mother sally.
the old man had dropped it without even knowing
and she picked it up the tears started flowing.
when she met the man she walked up to him
and felt all the more rich.
*********
they stared at each other and she said “it’s you you’re my father!”
he looked her over and saw it in her face.
she had his eyes nose and chin, it was his daughter Mary Anne
the story goes on but this is what i want you to know
no matter who you are no matter where you go.
god is watching and he always knows.
when it is time he gives you the urge
to help those needy so heed that call.
and remember this:
you might meet someone you’ll never forget.
Joanne asked:
The Angel’s Cry
I lay on the fresh green grass,
And gazed into the boundless blue sky.
I closed my eyes, cleared my mind,
Inhaled deeply, and let out a sigh.
The bird’s melodic chirps filled me with joy,
As I marvelled at the magnificent flower.
The Sun’s warmth was like a warm blanket,
Protecting me with all its power.
Then I saw an army of clouds,
Charging across the pure blue sky.
I shuddered when their shadows fell upon me,
And the Sun finally said “goodbye”.
The sound of thunder echoed across the field,
So I was going to find a place to hide.
Then a single drop of warm rain struck my face,
Like a tear from an angel that cried.
I lifted my head towards the sky,
And more tears crawled down my face.
I lifted my arms into the air,
As I felt the angel’s warm embrace.
They were sending down tears of joy,
Tears of hope, and tears of love.
When the angel’s tears came to a stop,
They flew away gracefully like a dove.
Then the Sun crawled its way out of the clouds,
And a rainbow arced across the sky.
I will never forget,
The wondrous feeling of the angel’s cry.
so, any ideas about the theme? and how the theme develops?
i wrote it btw
please help!! im having so much trouble with themes!!
Adam Joseph Chambers asked:
[Title] The Soul Will Not Be Globalized
The soul will not be globalized
It shall not bear the cursed mark of the beast
Nor shall it be found falling down upon its knees
The draft board will not have me fighting
When any open wound is biting
It shall not bleed in sacrifice
For said revived Empire, the vice
Of Satan’s grasp upon this Earth
The soul will not be globalized
It shall not trade its burdens to
Another form of peace, untrue
It shall not be preyed upon
By predators with flaming rods
Or smoking guns that fail to catch
Their enemies that freely hatch
A new generation of the righteous
The soul will not be globalized
You will not find it acting tree hugger
You cannot make it a verbal mugger
No, it will not deny the facts
While covering them up with lies and false pacts
With unsuspecting fools and wimps
It will not act like flip-flop pimps
Sleeping with the plagued seductress
The soul will not be globalized
It will not claim the sky is falling
When their comfort zone is balling
Comfort, while as ******* voices dry
Silencing the truth that never dies
It will not forsake its moral brothers
Or its broken hearted others
In order to build up its own success
The soul will not be globalized
No papered manly worth shall buy its freedom
No fruit of bitter sugar fats its sore bum
It won’t be salivating with its mindly wheel
Over fallen stars with rusted sex-appeal
It will not rough it out to bulge with fleshy pride
Nor will it purge itself to light the fire that died
In a demon possessed with its own luxuria
The soul will not be globalized
It will not join hands in marriage with the devil
It will not submit to the world wide global evil
It will not be a militiaman to march in time with death
It will not bow before idle statues with no breath
It will not continue tarrying here in sin and transgression
It will not drown upon a stormy sea of materialistic obsession
It will not crumble beneath the weight of ten thousand stones
The soul shall rise above the world
It shall choose life over death, not Satan, but the Father
While those who don’t repent shall be left dead in the water
It shall lift its eyes from the cloud and smoke of depression
It shall raise its voice up and speak out against its oppression
Yes, the soul shall taste the flavour of His righteous blood
Washing o’er its skin and cleansing heart in a flood
No more shall it wallow in the pigpen of felony
The soul shall rise above the world
Take staff in one hand, good book in the other
With the knowledge of divine grace and mercy to its brothers
Young and old, rich and poor, black and white, cross the world
And go out into the scorching deserts, lonely islands and arctic cold
It shall teach of love and peace and joy to all people
It shall clothe the naked, feed the hungry, with food and clothes so real
They will be at loss of words to describe an unimaginable miracle
The soul shall rise above the world
Be a shining light example for the children of heaven
Be a crutch for the crippled, eat of bread unleavened
It will walk with no fear of the shadow of death
Cloaking all the valley which he breathed its first breath
With a smile, not a tear, it shall know in its heart
That the covenant of God shall never break apart
Cause His promise is carved in the inerasable stone
The soul shall rise above the world
Rise above the darkness
Rise above transgression
Break the ties that bind it
Break the chains that keep it
Crush the rock that traps it
Crush the thoughts that try to stop it
From flying upon Easterlies
Easterlies that calm it
Drinking water that cools it
Wearing blankets that reheat it
When the climate changes harshly
Gaze with wide open eyes
Praise with hands reached to the sky
The redeemer is alive and is here for you today
And forever and ever, can we hear an amen
The Saviour is our Hero that tells us what is true
Oprah Winfrey, Doctor Phil, Jerry Springer cannot play us
Like instruments of deception and bringers of falsehood
Just as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern misjudged Hamlet
When he had a destiny to try and accomplish
The soul shall rise above the world
And down on bended knee, it shall confess
That yes, it is worthless without truth, love and hope
The soul shall rise and come back to the world
In the end times that come on the hooves of four horses
One of sickness, one of war, one of death, one of hunger
That rise above us to try and conquer our united army
Our military holds no guns, tanks or bombs
Our military is conducted like sweet music of divinity
By our commander, Lord Jesus who shall make us strong
And in the end, all souls shall rise above the world
Then fall and crush the devil down into the Earth
Lock him up in the fortress of fire and brimstone
And all will come together on Earth to say as one voice
That we are victorious over death, hell and grave
Cause it’s Jesus Christ, our Lord who has eternally saved
The souls as one who would not be globalized
Can you hear that, it’s the thunder
Of the four horsemen riding
Can you hear them rising against us all with hundred million armies
Now, you can also hear the roar of the Lion
The Lion of Judea stands tall on the horizon
The thunder of the oncoming storm of rain and judgement
Shall purify the soil and the grasses of the Earth
Yes, Lord, the soul shall not be globalized
The soul shall be united as one body for Christ
Christ, our Deliverer, our Saviour, our King above all kings
Well, think about it friends, time has run real short
God bless you all, peace out
We’ll see you in His court
Thanks Lizi!
LOL!
