Zenmeister asked:

In regards to our bailouts he says
“How did we get here? How do we get out? As usual, Washington has all the wrong answers. According to many politicians, we got here by not spending enough, not consuming enough, and not regulating enough. Now government, like some mythical white knight, is going to ride in to save the day by blanketing the economy with dollars, hiring an army of new bureaucrats, creating make-work jobs, and sending everyone some form of a bailout check. The debate seems to focus on whether this will cost enough to save the economy, or if this is just a “down payment” with much more government spending to come.”

“Talk like that,” Paul notes, “would be comical, if the results weren’t going to be so tragic.”
Thomas show me one quote in which Ron Paul supported Hamas. He has said many times he is not taking sides, dont come in here with your lies.
MLK you are absolutely right, Ron Paul, like Barry Goldwater, has started a grassroots movement which is spreading like wildfire. Lets hope this trend continues.
hey thomas just click on the first youtube link you posted and listen to the first 10 seconds in which he says I am not taking sides and saying who the bad guys are and who the good guys are. Thanks for posting a link which proves what I said is correct. haha!

“Evil only triumphs when good men do nothing”

How many palestinian women and children have died? and then how many israeli women and children? You have once again proved your own point. The last thing America needs to do is give Israel more firepower. Hamas doesnt even have a military.
Judy’s Rabbit- If there is 1 politician I trust in this entire world, it is Ron Paul. He is truly an American patriot.

ron paul is a good guy. woulda been great if he beat john mccain for the republican vote.

  • thor_torkinson says:

Absolutely. Everyone but a politician knows that you can’t spend your way out of debt.

  • Liberty or Death says:

100%. This entire financial crisis is the result of decades of government intervention, policy, and tinkering with an economic system that does not respond well to tinkering, reality that any economist can tell you. I don’t agree with Ron Paul on everything, but on this one, he’s right on the money. I too find it amazing how so many people think that the answer to failed government policy is more government policy.

  • Big Cazzo says:

Paul is an Economic Genius. and i mean that.

I just dont like libertarian stances on foreign policy or immigration. but he or Barr would have been GREAT for the economy.

  • zapper23 says:

I’m not an economist, but what they are doing scares the hell out of me. This money will have to be paid back by someone. Probably your children and grand children. As far as I can tell, we are bankrupting the future of those who will come after us, so we don’t have to feel as much ‘pain’ as whats called for now. Sad.

  • Thomas R says:

    I don’t know.

I stopped caring what Ron Paul had to say when he started supporting Hamas.

    Man that a joke
    .
    Bail out get real
    .
You mean dumb money chasing more dumb money
    .
Than God America can print all the money it needs to pay the bills .
    ,
While telling the world we have a national debt of 11.5 trillion dollars and growing
    .
You have seen those comericials on the TV showing all those
    .
Sheets upon sheets of $100.00 dollar bills coming out of just one of the two National Printing Presses
    .
    That run 24 – 7 days a week
    .
That is not meant to be just something to see on TV it is real and $100.00 bills come in sheets as this for 18 hours a day from each of the 2 Printing presses
    .
    All to do what
    .
Deposit in the National Reserve bank as real and usable money
    .
Where it got that right to print up that money is well
That a case for Judge Judy to hear
    .

  • MLK says:

    Yes, I do .

I hope Ron Paul makes another run at it in 2012, we will need a strong leader, with a good head to bring us out of the current problems we face. I have no faith in Obama, I was real curious in Obama when he first came into the spot light, but I quickly seen his true colors Ron Paul on the other hand got very little air time, but what he said carried so much weight, and made such an impact on so many people that the momentum is still building.

“Our” government is selling our Country 1 piece at a time. Letting credit card interest run wild. changing the bankruptcy laws. Allowing I.D. theft to continue. allowing land and business to be owned by foreign people or companies. allowing the E.P.A. to force small business out. Capital gains tax, Death tax, federal income tax. Failing schools with failing children.

  • robert c says:

Ron Paul is showing his true colors. He is an ordinary conservative Republican who is trying to disguise the fact that our economic problems are being caused by our allowing two per cent to own most of the nation`s wealth.

  • Judy's Rabbit says:

I wonder you know if government spending isn’t just a front for a Mafia style banking cartel like the Federal Reserve because they can control how rich they want everyone to be, and with all these loans to small business’s and bailouts it blatantly gives them the licence for abuse.

  • Mpeg4 says:

    Yes. I do.
Why are our politicians in on the take?
Or are they blind to what they are doing?
I don’t understand… why aren’t they asking the tough questions? They are making drastic decisions without the input of the American people. Do they expect all of us to sit through this patiently?

If they know Dr. Paul is incorrect why aren’t they explaining why he is wrong to lay the angry public to rest?

Why do the people believe what the leaders are saying?

  • Thomasina Paine says:

Yes. I’m surprised the federal reserve hasn’t assassinated him yet.

  • Dr.John L says:

If money were to be printed in such manner as to control for inflation and therefore for the public good. I would have no obections
However if the interest on that money were to be paid to parasitic banks like the Federal Reserve which do nothing but enrich themselves , then that would be a crime and the Fed should be abolished forthwith, I believe Ruon Paul would have the courage to deal with this situation in a manner to favour the people and not the parasitic banksters, and that’s why they are so afraid of him.

  • sweetguy452003 says:

Yes, I do agree with Congressman Ron Paul about injecting too much money into the economy, without allowing the process of supply and demand to work. As long as you have too much money flowing into the economy without the production aspect being equalized, the end result will always be high inflation such as what we have now in America with the dollar being actually worth about $0.5 . The current economists policy in the U.S. is using the Keysonian economic system, which is any economic problem can be solved with more money. Well as we have already seen with the bailout’s of the Banking Industry, Investment Industry, Housing Industry, and Auto Makers Industry, this simply doesn’t work. It is a fallacy that has been pushed onto the American people without any recourse, or allowing the people of the U.S. to have any say in the matter, although invariably it is their taxpayer money that is being used for these purposes. This is totally wrong and arrogant of our duly elected politicians to think this way and do this to the American people, and without their consent, or approval. As a matter of fact most Americans over 90% of them called, e-mailed, and faxed in and told Congress not to bail these corporations out.

This means that Congress acted on their own without the backing and the approval from the American people. If you were at work and you deliberately did just the opposite that your boss or supervisor told you to do, and it ended up costing the company money to fix your misjudgement you would be fired or severly disapplined. My question is why can’t we fire or disappline our Congress. Running this country is very much like running a business. Our nation has reciepts for incoming and outgoing expenses, it has an advertising propaganda machine, the only difference that I can think of is our government doesn’t sell or produce anything. It just sits there and grows bigger and bigger everyday and does less and less for the American people. I would say it is time that we Downsize government eliminate many wasteful agencies that really don’t benefit the people, and become a more effecient and professional government. Because right now we have nothing but ineffecient waste, unprofessional people, working in government and this is a harm and a detriment to our nation.

  • Jill says:

true patriotism is a threat to the wealthy corrupt government. money and political structure should never weave together and combine into one.
