Do you think Alexander the Great would be able to solve the current situation in Iraq?

somgu21 asked:

When Alexander was a child he tamed a horse when grown men failed because he noticed it was afraid of its own shadow.

In Turkey he came upon a mystical knot of rope which was said to be impossible to unravel. They said that whoever could unknot the rope would become master of asia. Alexander took out his sword and chopped it in half, thus unravelling it.

He besieged an island fortress called Tyre, and conquered it by building a 1-mile long landbridge out of sand and rock.

In one battle the Persian enemy had 200 bladed chariots which threatened to plow over Alexander’s army like a lawnmower over a golfing green. Alexander defeated them by training his men to move out of the way leaving gaps in their formation. The chariots then entered the gaps and were skewered by spearpoints from both directions.

In India there was a mountain fortress resisting Alexander. Alexander entered the rear of the fortress by climbing up the back of the mountain using sheets and blankets tied together and forced the fortress to surrender.

How do you think Alexander would deal with Iraq if he were still alive?

He would kill everyone who questioned his supreme authority. He might destroy an entire city to make sure people understood he was serious. Alexander would kill many innocent people to establish his supremacy. People would not tolerate that in today’s world. He would be held accountable to the United Notions for war crime. So; no I don’t think he would solve any problems.

Not a really good question. Times are way to different in a much larger world with many more “players” in it.
He would be just another Dictator who probably would only have one area under his command until someone got to him.

    Again, you mean?
