Doug D asked:

I bought a blanket at a military surplus store; it may be used. I took it to a cleaners to have it cleaned. I left it in the plastic until recently. It stinks. It almost has a urine smell. How can I wash it? How can I get the stink out of it?

spread it out to air, then on cool air in your dryerNO HEAT,with fryer sheet should do the trick.Be sure to shake it out good outside before air drying.

In cool water with woolite. Do not put in dryer, air dry.

Those blankets have unique smell…you should find out if it is really dirty. In military they only dry cleaned them. I would be careful about washing in a machine or a dryer…most wool products require dry cleaning.
