		<description>You can not carry your pocket knife on you or in your carry on luggage, however, you are permitted to carry it in your checked luggage (the luggage you give to the gate agent when you check in).

This is what the TSA has to say about knives.

I carry my pocket knife that I&#039;ve had since I was 7 with me in my toiletry bag (in my checked luggage of course) and I&#039;ve never had a problem.  As long as you check it there won&#039;t be a problem.

Have fun on your field trip.  I was in Air Force JROTC and my husband was in Marine Corps JROTC.  I met him at a drill competition.</description>

		<description>You can&#039;t bring any type of weapon, (swiss army knife) with you while you fly. Either on your person or in your luggage. If I were you I would just leave it at home.</description>
