OR asked:

Hi,

I am moving in few weeks and have lots of used clothes, pillows blankets etc and feel bad to take it to a dumpster. I called the Purple Heart and they said they have no available pick up dates any time soon.

Does anyone know where I can just drop the boxes off without going through it (like Salvation Army) or if someone can pick it up?

I am in Gaithersburg, MD

Thanks for all your help!

You mentioned Salvation Army. What about St. Vincent’s De Paul, and Goodwill? Those 3 charities should have some type of a pickup schedule. Or they should have a drop off area that’s fairly easy to get to? Some churches accept donations like the items you have to give to folks who are in need in the community.

    Hope this helps a bit!

I use AmVets and they pick up just about anything, including bags of clothing. Just call them in your area for a pick up date.
